About 4 weeks ago Bill and Diana Carriger invited Craig to help with a Medical Mission Trip this February to Guana, South America. Debbie and I are excited and proud of him that he has decided to go and help with this important ministry.
Below is a letter Craig has written asking for your prayers as well as finicial support for this trip:
August 29, 2006
Dear Family & Friends,
God has given me the opportunity to go on a short-term medical mission trip to Guyana, South America, with VOSH (Volunteer Optometry Services for Humanity) on February 10-19, 2007. This team is affiliated with the churches of Christ. The team I will be working with will serve the poorest of the poor with spiritual and physical health care. Our team will provide free optometry medical care and free eyeglasses to many patients as we minister in Jesus' name.
I am writing to ask you to prayerfully consider joining our team through your support. First, please partner with me in praying for the people we will be serving, for my health and effectiveness as a team member, and for the many details of this mission trip.
Second, please consider supporting me financially for this outreach. The cost of this
ten-day trip is $2000. If you would like to join the team in this way, please make your check payable to Central Church of Christ, and put a note with it that has my name on it and VOSH Guyana Trip. It can be mailed to Central Church of Christ, 1250 SW College Ave., Topeka, Kansas, 66604.
Thank you for praying about being a vital part of the mission team.
Sincerely,
Craig Carriger
