Bubba's BBQ
Best ribs anywhere. When you eat almost a full rack, including fries, beans, slaw and bread a guy can get pretty full. It was well worth it.

Vacation Day #6
All day golf #2 in Berryville, Arkansas. We played another 54 holes of golf. We leave Berryville tomorrow.
Vacation Day #5
All day golf at Carroll County Country Club in Berryville. The goal today.....45 holes of golf. Tee time is at 8:00 and we should be done around 6:00. With a little help from my friend Mr. Tylenol, I should make it. Our record was 64 holes in 2009. Deb was much younger then.

New Coaster at SDC
These are pics of the new Silver Dollar City coaster being built just north of the Giant Swing. SDC will not discuss the project. Rumors have it being named The Outlaw. Looks great!

Finally made our way to Berryville, Arkansas after church this morning. We will play golf for three days at Carroll County Country Club our favorite course. We are staying on the 7th fairway at the Fairway Motor Inn. Should be a great 3 days. Ate at our favorite pizza joint, Geraldi's in Eureka Springs for dinner. Took a drive to Beaver Lake and went through Onyx Cave in Eureka Springs.

Vacation Day #2
We played golf at Country Creek in Harrisonville, Missouri on the Quarry Course. It was a beautiful day and we played great golf. It was so good the guy in the group behind us hit a hole in one on hole #17. We headed to Branson after the golf game.
Vacation Day #1
The first day of vacation was a trip to Dr. Lacy in Topeka. Debbie had some dental work scheduled. After the appointment, we headed to KC for BBQ and a movie. We ate at our favorite KC BBQ restaurant, Arthur Bryant's. After dinner we saw the movie Prometheus. It was good. Make sure you watch the original 1979 movie Alien before you go see Prometheus. It will help answer some of the questions you might have. Day #2 golf in KC before heading south (if the rain clears).

My Teacher
Many people in my life have influenced me in my career as an educator. Debbie, my constant supporter. My dad, the one who encouraged me to be an administrator. Dale Neal, my college basketball coach, who instilled a work ethic that has helped me throughout my life. But the one who made the greatest impact on me becoming a teacher was Mary Landreth. Mary was my teacher in the education department at Newman University in Wichita. Mary taught me how to teach. Mary showed us that kids are #1 before anything else in education. She not only told us, but she showed us by her care and compassion she had for her students. I fell in love with Mary in 1982. My love for her increases every passing school year. Mary continues to call me at the start of the year and as the year concludes. Why? Because she continues to be my teacher. Thank you Mary for your support, encouragement and love you have given me. As John Wooden stated, "you ask me why I teach, where could I find such splendid company." God bless you Mary!
