Thank you to Evan and Carl for sharing their hearts with us yesterday morning. They blessed us greatly as we begin 2006.
Carl gave me a CD yesterday of eight lessons from Steve Tandy, Minister from the Northside Church of Christ in Wichita on the topic of Awesome Worship. What a great series of lessons. I am sure he will be sharing highlights from these lessons in his upcoming blogs. We hope to have a Wednesday night class in the near future on Worship.
Worship is an awesome experience. A time spent in praising the God of the Universe. Continue to pray for our worship time. Many individuals spend hours planning our corporate worship here at Central so we can give our very best to the one who deserves our very best, Almighty God.
True worship is so important. Look what Amos 5 says:
21 "I hate, I despise your religious feasts; I cannot stand your assemblies.
22 Even though you bring me burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. Though you bring choice fellowship offerings, I will have no regard for them.
23 Away with the noise of your songs! I will not listen to the music of your harps.
It should be our constant prayer that our worship be pleasing and acceptable to God.
May God be lifted up in our worship this New Year!
