Vacation 2011

We had a great golf vacation. We played at Cassville, Missouri last Sunday for Father's Day. A beautiful layout. We played Carroll County Country Club in Berryville, Arkansas on Tuesday and Wednesday. We played 81 holes of golf in Berryville. Thursday, we spent the day in Branson. We went out to the lake and the trout hatchery. We also toured Talking Rock Caverns in Branson West. After the tour we headed to Silver Dollar City for a couple of shows. Friday, we played golf at Kings River in Shell Knob, Missouri. We enjoy this scenic course each year. We headed to War Eagle Mill in Rogers, Arkansas after the golf game. Saturday, we played golf at Big Sugar Golf Club in Pea Ridge, Arkansas. Sunday, we attended church at Grade Harbor in Bentonville then headed to Kansas City. Monday, we were rained out and couldn't play golf in KC with our friends from Osage City. We headed back to Joplin and played at Eagle Creek. Beautiful course but very HOT!

My friends always asks about the food we ate and my recommendations. Here they are:

Best BBQ: Bubba's in Eureka Springs.

Best Hamburgers: Danna's in Branson West.

Best Pizza: Geraldi's at Holiday Island, Arksansas.

Best Catfish: Catfish Wharf in Harrison, Arkansas.

Best Salad: Luigi's in Banson.

Best Pie: McFarlain's

My golf partner was great. Debbie played well and endured my same old stories and poor golf play. Thanks for a great 7 days!

Vacation Day 1

We had a great first day on vacation. We played 45 holes of golf at Berryville, Arkansas. Debbie is playing great golf! I'm improving each round. We are staying in a motel on the 7th fairway of the golf course. The pool was great after 45 holes of golf. We also ate at our favorite BBQ joint in all the world, Bubba's in Eureka Springs. The ribs melted in your mouth.

Cassville Golf Club

Debbie took me golfing for Father's Day after church this morning. We played in Cassville, Missouri. Beautiful Ozark course. I hate hole #18!

Work today, then vacation week. We head to Berryville for golf.

Father's Day

I would like to wish my dad a great Father's Day. He has been a great supportive father for 49 years. I love him very much.

Next Tuesday, Debbie and I travel to Berryville, Arkansas for our annual golf vacation week. We are really looking forward to it. We hope to play 54 holes of golf each day in the beautiful Ozark Mountains.

Deb spent the weekend in Kansas City with Kim one of her best college friends. They were celebrating the life of another college friend who passed away this year. Yesterday, would have been Julie's 50th birthday. They decided to celebrate her wonderful life with laughter and tears.
