When I met her 28 years ago, I believe I was picking up her Volkswagen Bug with my friend Tim Walton and hiding it in the church parking lot after a devotional.
She has been a special person ever since.
I knew there was a reason why my dad retired from the Navy, and moved our family from San Diego to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I thought I had gone to the end of the world! But it was because God had a special woman there that I would meet, fall in love with and begin a life time journey together.
Her birthday is today. She is more beautiful today then when we met in 1977. She constantly teaches me lessons about life; about ways we need to treat others, about generosity, thoughtfulness, contentment, her compassion towards others and her love for God.
Thank you dad for moving us away from “Gods Magnificent Beauty of San Diego” to give me the “Beauty of My Life”.
Happy Birthday Debbie! I Love you!
