A good friend of mine has experienced a very difficult week professionally. I have felt sorry for him. I hope I was able to cheer him up a little.
We all have those weeks where we ask "where is God when I need him?"
The answer is right beside us like He always is. The problem is the complexity of our daily endeavors which flaw our true vision of the One who can truly be the answer to our problems.
Twila Paris wrote a song called God Is In Control. Many times I think about the words of the chorus in my difficult daily struggles:
We believe that His children will not be forsaken
God is in control
We will choose to remember and never be shaken
There is no power above or beside Him, we know
God is in control, oh God is in control
