Friday Night Lights!
Everyone in small town across America during the fall turns out at the local high school football games. Beautiful fall weather, hot dogs, pop corn, the band, cheerleaders....it starts out exciting. Great expectations for a winning season. And then what happens? About 1/2 of the teams fall quickly because of losing seasons. The high expectations and goals that were set are quickly a thing of the past.
The Christian life is much like that. We have those high emotional lifts that really encourage us and then smack! A discouraging situation, an unkind word, it can change so quickly.
I enjoy the love that is shown at Central. Keep it up, plus as Roger always says, "do it more and more". We need to encourage each other daily. Building each other up. We know will have difficult times in our lives and for our Church family but we ought to be the happiest and most loving people on the face of the earth...........because we have a Savior that gave everything because we couldn't.
Enjoy the opening games tonight. And remember stay positive.....It's a long season!
