Spring Break

We spent a few days in Las Vegas this week to visit Craig and Charles the Dog then on to Burleson (Fort Worth) to see Brian, Allison, Amelia and Buttons the Dog.

Brian, Allison and Amelia came to Kansas for Spring Break.  Mom and dad came up today for some chicken and family fun.

Sub-State Championship Game

The CUHS Lady Titans play Frontenac tonight at 6:00 for a trip to Wichita and the Class 4A Division 2 State Basketball Tournament on Thursday.

Columbus 15-5 plays Parsons Friday night in round one of sub-state action.  Saturday night the winner plays the Frontenac-Baxter Springs winner for the right to play in the Class 4A Division 2 Championship in Wichita next Thursday.

Columbus has four losses to ranked teams.  Two losses to #5 ranked 2A Pittsburg Colgan, one to #7 ranked 4A Chanute, and one to #3 ranked 1A St. Paul which they revenged later in the year defeating St. Paul in the Southeast Tournament.  The other loss was to Frontenac in league play early in the season.  Should be a fun and wild weekend.  Go Lady Titans!

Christmas Vacation (Day 15)

We left Oklahoma City in a cold rain around noon.  Had lunch with mom and dad in Tulsa.  We finally made it back to Columbus around 4:30.  We had a great break visiting our family.

Sad leaving Craig and Charles in Vegas this morning.  We had a great visit.  Great being back with Brian, Allison, Amelia and Buttons for a few days.

After morning worship at the Crossing Church we headed to the strip to shop.  We ate at the Cheesecake Factory then headed to Fremont Street downtown for fried oreo's and fried twinkie's.  We ended the night with massages in China Town.

Another day of dog sitting for Craig as he worked.  Charles the Dog is a fun little puppy.  We had dinner at Red Rock then walked the shops at Miracle Mile.

Sick in Las Vegas not fun.  We did have dinner at Blueberry Hill and played the carnival games at Circus Circus.  Craig and Debbie both won.  The real winners Charles the dog and Amelia.
