Special Announcement
After 34 years as a Kansas educator, I have decided to retire as the Superintendent of Schools for USD 493 Columbus on June 30, 2018. I have been very blessed for the past 9 years to serve this district as its educational leader. Columbus has been a great community to live and work in.
On July 1, Debbie and I will transition to a new work as we move back to our home state of Oklahoma as I serve Quapaw as their new superintendent. We look forward to the new journey that’s before us that God has provided.
We wish to say thank you to the many great people we have worked with in Columbus. You gave us so much more than we could ever repay. Thank you for your kindness, caring attitude, and support as we tried our very best to reach each and every student.
I know the Board will find a new leader to guide this district to even greater success in the years to come.
May God continue to bless your efforts in USD 493 Columbus.
We will miss you.
David

Home
We made the long trip back from Denver yesterday. 15 days, 3,000 miles and many great family memories. I was asleep by 8:30 p.m. A great way to usher in the new year. Happy 2017. Attached is my annual picture of Craig's new year's location where he works at Hermes in the Bellagio. Thank goodness they closed early. Only 500,000 people showed up. May God give all my friends and family a happy and healthy new year!
